Evsters

Evan was in to see his doctor for his six-month check-up and was very well behaved for the entire visit. He acted like a big boy and didn't cry when he received his shots. He was weighed and measured and I can confirm, once again, that he is a big boy (weight and length). It's nice to be reassured that he's thriving. I'm also happy to report that Evan is getting his first tooth! This bottom front tooth is just starting to peek out of the gum :-)

Mother Goose is wrapping up this week and we have enjoyed the program. I'm now looking into other programs to take its place. In addition to that, Evan is now signed up for his first Water Babies program and will be starting his swimmie lessons with Scott at the end of this month. I bought his very first swimmie trunks and I can't wait to take photos of him at the pool. We know that he loves splashing about in the bathtub, so I am confident that his enjoyment of water will translate into a positive experience at the pool; time will tell on that one though.

On Friday night we ran into some friends/colleagues at a local restaurant which was a fun surpise. It was nice catching up on 'the hap' at school. I've decided to go back to work part-time in September. I will be working ten days a month (either Mondays/Wednesdays and alternating Fridays or Tuesdays/Thursdays and alternating Fridays... I think that's how it will work). I just can't imagine putting the Evsters into day care every week day. Fortunately, we're in a position that we don't have to live with such an unpleasant arrangement.
