Thank you everyone!

As you can see, the Evster and I went to Scott's work on Friday. Evan wore the shirt and tie given to him by the folks in Scott's office and I think he looks ready to begin working for his dad!

Life with Evan is both wonderful and completely exhausting. We're over a month in now and things are starting to stabilize - I think. The overnight feedings are the biggest killer of energy and I'm beginning to work out the kinks. Scott has been a really great dad for Evan and he sure does love our little guy. When he is changing him, I often over-hear Scott telling him how much he loves him; it's very sweet.

Last weekend was busy for me with Shannon's birthday outing and Kim's wedding shower! It's hard to believe that the wedding is coming up so soon; I know that she has put an amazing amount of thought and effort into her wedding plans and we are thrilled to be invited and watch it all come together. We also had a nice visit with auntie Judie who was back on the mainland and house sitting for Chris and Danielle. It was nice getting caught up, hearing that she is loving her new place on Vancouver Island and seeing pics of Miss Avery, who looks like a wee dolly.

***** I also wanted to note that we are so COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED with everyone's generosity and we appreciate the well wishes, love and gifts given to us and our Evan. We are awaiting pics from our photographer and then we will send out picture thank you cards to everyone. Hopefully at least one photo will work out from his photo session in which he was 'feeling the rage'. I tried to explain to him that we paid a lot of money to hire this photographer, but there was no reasoning with him. Of course, on the way home we didn't hear a peep out of him!
